Well, it’s a bit of a teaser header – but we do have a video of Nate Murray from IDW sharing all the cool info about our new game with The Dice Tower. This just popped into my radar now but has been available for a couple of months. Nate talks about the mechanics and how excited he is about the game that Sen and I made – yay! Fast forward to 5:57 for the magic!
The Dice Tower often creates top 10 videos based on various mechanics, and the recent one was for Pick Up and Deliver. This video also welcomed another board game podcast icon to the show – Rahdo! It was Rahdo that placed Akrotiri as his #4 favourite Pick up and Deliver game of all time. That’s high praise coming from someone who’s played and reviewed so many games! It’s surprising that Tom hasn’t played it yet though – considering he’s loved all of our previous games! Maybe we’ll have to send him one!
The first video review of our upcoming game, Junk Art, by Pretzel Games, has landed online – and is by none other than Tom Vasel from the Dice Tower. Tom got to play the game for the first time while he was at The Gathering a couple weeks ago, but then was able to snag his own copy. The bottom line? Tom loves it and gives it his Seal of Approval!
I really enjoyed hearing him say, “The designers of the game, Jay Cormier and Sen-Foong Lim have done some excellent games, so I was willing to give it a chance.” Cool that we’ve made enough good games that reviewers are now knowing who we are! 🙂
Other standout comments from Tom:
“Guys, this game really has blown me away!”
“I was really surprised that they took this concept…and make it into an excellent, fun game.”
“The fact that every game has a different feel, is really neat.”
“If you do like skill based dexterity games this is honestly one of the best to come out in years.”
“Highly recommend it. HIGHLY recommend it!”
Wow – awesome stuff! Thanks Tom for the wonderful words!
